Ingredients:
  • 3 pounds ground beef, browned
  • 3 cups tomato sauce
  • 3 cup Ricotta Cheese
  • 3 Eggs
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella
  • 1 pack ready-bake lasagna shells
  • 1 cup grated parmigiano cheese
Directions:
  • Mix the ricotta cheese, eggs, ½ cup Parmigianino, 1 ¼ cup mozzarella and set aside.
  • Pour ¾ cup of tomato sauce into the Copper Chef 11” Deep Dish Casserole Pan.
  • Place a layer of lasagna shells on top of the sauce.
  • Spoon half of the ricotta mix on top of the shells.
  • Add another layer of shells pressing the ricotta mix gently to spread it.
  • Place the meat on top of the shells and pour 1 cup of sauce on top of the meat.
  • Place another layer of shells and the rest of the ricotta mix on top.
  • Add the final layer of shells and press gently to spread the mix.
  • Pour the rest of the sauce on top and spread evenly.
  • Sprinkle the remainder of the cheese on the layer surface.
  • Place the pan on the stove over low heat for 1 ½ hour or place in the oven for 1 hour on 375°F degrees.
  • Let it cool for about 15 minutes and serve warm.
Cooking Tips:
  1. If you wish to freeze the lasagna, make the complete preparation with all the ingredients save for the baking part. Simply cover the pre-made dish tightly with foil and store in the freezer. When ready to eat, uncover the frozen pot and bake at 350°F for around 1 hour and 15 minutes. Another option is to refrigerate it for 24 hours for thawing and then bake uncovered at 350°F for around 50 minutes. Allow it to cool for 10 minutes.
  2. While whipping up the lasagna, remember to not overcook your noodles as this sort of dish requires structure for all the layers assembled in between. The noodles cannot be served too mushy.
